On the silent blue lake's surface
Lots of waterroses float
Shivering in white great circles
It is now rocking a boat.
And I walk from side to side,
And I listen, and I rest,
And I wait for her to come
And to fall on my bare chest.
Followed by the lake's great song
We could jump into the boat,
Stroke as far as we can go
Then, in silence, we could float.
We could just sit there for hours
Under the silver moon's light,
All is silent, all is calm
On this windy and blurry night.
But I, lonely and godforsaken,
Dream about her by the lake
That is full with waterroses
Which still make me feel awake.
